Hong Kong and Mainland Cross-border Payment Gateway went live on June 22nd
Cross-border Payment Gateway refers to the connection between the Mainland's Interbank Payment Clearing System (IBPS) for online payments and Hong Kong's Fast Payment System (FPS). The People's Bank of China (PBOC) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) have jointly promoted the interconnection of the FPS of the Mainland and Hong Kong to provide instant cross-border payment services to residents and organizations of the two places.
