Recent C1 Checking Massive Windfall Restrictions on Accounts Suspected to be Related to ATMB Addresses and VPNs

So many people have received emails in the last few days about C1 Checking being restricted, and it's currently suspected to have something to do with ATMB addresses and VPNs.

Asked to reconcile the account issue, though multiple DPs indicated a request to go to Branch.

  Based on what's available, it's mostly just that there are too many CN residents with available addresses on top of the ATMB. There should be a bulk request to verify identity based on address. Those who can't verify their identity will have their Checking and Savings accounts closed, but it doesn't affect credit cards at this time.
